The Speaker: Phil Cohen
Phil Cohen is the Founder and President of Cohen Architectural Woodworking, a cabinet manufacturing company based in St James, Missouri.
Phil started working with wood in 1975 in a neighbor’s barn, building porch swings from walnut, cherry, and cedar. He founded the company in 1982, and within four years, they were working with several large general contractors, building cabinets for medical facilities, hotels, office buildings, and stores, including Wal-Mart. Overwhelmed by the growth, he turned to his faith to help him make decisions for the business and in 2013, the management team agreed to become a faith-based company.
Today, the company stands solidly as a professionally managed, family-owned business, rooted in the pursuit of excellence. Phil says, “To succeed in our industry, we need a passion for great craftsmanship, a love for business, and a love for our customers, suppliers, and employees.”
Phil is passionate about investing in the lives of others, developing future leaders, and providing mentorship. His relational approach to business, his dedication to continuous personal and business growth, and his commitment to the highest levels of excellence have made him a leader in the industry and in their local community. He and his wife Gina are approaching their 41st anniversary. They have nine children and eleven grandchildren. Seven of their nine children are involved in the company. Phil also is an inspirational writer and speaker.
Look forward to being inspired on November 4th, 2016.
