Friday March 4th, 2016 7:15 am – 9:00 am
The Speaker: Kristi Tacony Humes
Kristi Tacony Humes is the CEO of Tacony Corporation. She took on this role January 1, 2016, from her father, Ken Tacony, who led the company for more than 30 years through its greatest period of growth. Kristi has 22 years experience and has held numerous roles within the company – now in its third generation of leadership – building knowledge and expertise from the ground up.
Tacony Corporation began as a distributor with retail locations servicing the independent retail channel. Now in its 70th year, Tacony has since grown into an international company employing more than 650 associates in 13 locations worldwide and operating in four strategic business units: Home Sewing, Home Floor Care, Commercial Floor Care, and Ceiling Fans and Lighting.
Tacony’s entrance into manufacturing started with an acquisition in 1996. Since then, the company has built or acquired three more facilities focused on American manufacturing to support its business units. Kristi resides in St. Louis, Mo., where the corporate headquarters is located.
