MML First Fridays Presents…
How Manufacturers Can Cut Utility Costs by 50%+ Without Spending a Dime
Friday March 6th, 2015 7:15 am – 9:00 am
In recent years, facility utility expenses have been increasing at a rapid rate, locally 41% over the last 5 years, with no end in sight. This translates into risk as manufacturers try to plan for escalating operating expenses tied to energy use.The good news is that there are more opportunities than ever to reduce this risk and cut expenses through smart facility improvements that take advantage of federal and local incentives and new tax advantaged financing packages.
With the new finance programs available, it is now possible to complete major facility improvements with no money down, and an off-balance-sheet transaction, resulting in cuts to energy bills of a typical 30 – 80%. Solar, LED lighting, HVAC upgrades and other energy projects can be completed with no out of pocket cost, and an immediate cash flow positive net (savings on bills is greater than finance payments).
Rick Hunter and Jon Youngman, from Microgrid, will detail the tax credits and other incentives, and the finance vehicles, as well as provide the latest information on Solar, LED lighting, and other improvements that are having a major impact on energy use nationally. Case studies of local projects will be used to illustrate typical scenarios.
