MML First Fridays Presents…
What is New in Lean Operations
Friday July 10, 2015 7:15 am – 9:00 am
Lean Enterprise methods have been around since the 1950’s with the development of the Toyota Production System. However, unlike most “fad” business improvement methods (what ever happened to re-engineering?) it is still with us and is going strong. Whether the founder of Lean, Taiichi Ohno knew it, he created a very simple method that has applications throughout organizations well beyond manufacturing. Dr. Millstein will discuss how Lean is being used today by financial services firms, hospitals, distributors, retailers and yes… manufacturers, in areas as diverse as HR and Sales.
